(Oral) The present petition is filed seeking directions to the respondents for grant of additional increment of higher responsibility under Rule 4.4(2)(c)(i) Volume1 Part-1 of Punjab Civil Services Rules in view of the decision dated 3.10.2016 passed by this Court in CWP No. 3922 of 2011-Narender Pal Singh Arya and another v. State of Haryana and others.

Learned counsel for the petitioners restricts his prayer that a legal notice dated 21.2.2020 be decided in a time bound manner. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of, let respondent No. 3 decide the legal notice in accordance with law, after providing opportunity of hearing to the petitioners. Decision be taken not later than 20.12.2020.

The petitioners would be at liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law if aggrieved against the order passed.
