On the last date of hearing, i.e. 20.08.2025, the following order was passed:- "Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the issue is no longer res integra, as an identical matter has already been adjudicated by this Court in CWP No. 10789 of 2016, vide order dated 21.11.2024. It is further submitted that the said verdict was assailed before the Division Bench of this Court, which was also decided in favour of similarly placed petitioners. Learned State counsel seeks an adjournment to apprise this Court, as to whether, the claim of the present petitioners is covered by the aforesaid decision.

Asked for request is accepted.

Adjourned to 28.08.2025.

Today, the learned State counsel, on instructions imparted to him by Mr. Jitenderpal Singh, Chief Engineer, Headquarters, Water Resources Department, has informed this Court that the case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the decision dated 21.11.2024, rendered by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court upon CWP-10789-2016. Therefore, the instant writ petition can be disposed of in the same terms. 3.

Consequently, the instant writ petition is disposed of in the same terms as CWP-10789-2016.
