Through the present petition, the petitioner seeks appointment on compassionate grounds.

It is the admitted position that the father of the petitioner, on account of whose demise compassionate appointment is being sought, expired on 14.07.2007 i.e. over eight years ago. It is further not disputed that as per the prevalent policy of the respondent Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, which was applicable at the time of death of the father MONIKA 2015.08.03 16:03 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

C. W. P. No. 15517 of 2015 2 of the petitioner, an amount of ` 3,00,000/- as solatium was paid and accepted by the family of the deceased. It is further brought to my notice that retiral benefits of about ` 4,50,000/- were also disbursed to the family of the deceased at the time of his death.

In view of the above, in my opinion, no claim for compassionate appointment is made out.

Dismissed.
