Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in compliance to the order dated 19.06.2023 passed by this Court, the petitioner has already joined the investigation and as such interim bail granted to the petitioner may be confirmed.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Jasbir Singh, has intimated that the petitioner has joined investigation and is no more

required for any custodial investigation in this case nor he is required for further investigation.

During the course of hearing on 19.06.2023, this Court has passed the following order:- "Prayer in the present petition filed under Section 438 Cr.P.C. is for the grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.0063 dated 05.05.2023, registered under Sections 406, 420 IPC and Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation) Act, 2014, at Police Station South, Sector 34, Chandigarh.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the FIR was registered only under Sections 406 and 420 IPC and Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation) Act, 2014 was inadvertently mentioned in the head-note of the petition.

Notice of motion.

Ms. Simsi Dhir Malhotra, Addl. Public Prosecutor accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-UT, Chandigarh. Complete copy of the paper book be supplied to her during the course of the day.

List on 21.08.2023.

In the meantime, the petitioner is directed to join investigation. In the event of arrest, he shall be released on interim bail to the satisfaction of the Arresting/Investigating Officer, subject to compliance of the provisions of Section 438

(2) Cr.P.C."

Keeping in view the above submissions made by learned State counsel and the fact that the petitioner had joined the investigation consequent to the order dated 19.06.2023 passed by this Court, interim bail granted vide order dated 19.06.2023 is hereby confirmed, subject to conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. Further the petitioner is directed to join investigation as and when required in future by way of written notice for such purpose to be served by Investigating Officer of this case upon the petitioner; he will not tamper with the evidence nor will

influence the witnesses and will not leave the country without prior permission of the Court.
