**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Through this petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.222 dated 26.10.2016, registered under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 506 IPC, at Police Station Dera Bassi, District SAS Nagar. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the owner of 10 marla land; that qua the said land, the petitioner has preferred a civil suit; that the FIR in question was registered on the basis of a complaint made by the Judicial Magistrate; that the challan was presented before the trial Court and that after investigation, a cancellation report was filed, which was not accepted by the learned Court below. Notice of motion.

On the asking of this Court, Mr. Subhash Godara, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondentState. He, on the instructions from ASI Rajinder Kumar, submits that after reinvestigation, a fresh cancellation report, duly been approved by AMAN JAIN 2022.08.23 17:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRM-M-32150-2022 (O&M) -2the Senior Superintendent of Police concerned, has been prepared and that the prosecution agency is in the process of filing the same before the Court concerned.

Faced with the situation, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present petition. Dismissed as withdrawn.
