In this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have prayed for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing the respondents to release compensation amount along with interest to them for acquisition of their land vide notification dated 19.2.1988 issued under Section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (in short "the Act") and the award dated 6.4.1989 (Annexure P-2) situated within the revenue estate of village Badkhal, Tehsil Ballabgarh, District Faridabad. 2.

The land of the petitioners fully described in para No.2 of the writ petition, situated within the revenue estate of Village Badkhal, Tehsil and District Faridabad, was acquired by the State Government vide notification dated 19.2.1988 issued under Section 6 of the Act and the award was passed on 6.4.1989 (Annexure P-2). CWP No. 15684 of 2015 -2petitioners, the amount of compensation has not been paid to them so far. A representation dated 26.2.2014 (Annexure P-3) was moved to respondent No.3, but no response has so far been received thereon. 3.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioners, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and keeping in view the nature of relief sought, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No.3 to verify the above-stated assertion made by the petitioners at this belated stage and if he is satisfied as per the record that the amount of compensation has not been paid to the petitioners fully or in part, let the needful be done within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
