By this petition, filed under the provisions of Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to release the service benefits of her deceased husband, i.e. pending salary, GPF, Gratuity, Leave Encashment, Group Insurance Scheme (GIS), Medical Reimbursement and the family pension, forthwith commencing from 15.06.2018, along with interest @ 18% per annum, till date, as her husband died in service. In respect of her grievance, the petitioner is stated to have got a legal notice issued on 13.08.2020 to the respondents, a copy of which has been annexed as Annexure P-5, with the petition. Without making any comment on the actual merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority amongst the respondents to take a decision on the aforesaid legal notice of VIKAS CHANDER 2020.10.06 15:39 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
