Complaining wilful violation of the directions of the Court in Civil Writ Petition No. 26307 of 2021, decided on 22.12.2021, the petitioners have invoked the jurisdiction of this Court under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. The operative part of the order dated 22.12.2021 reads as under:- "Upon hearing learned counsel for both the sides and on perusal of the records, the present petition stands disposed off with direction to the official respondents to consider the legal notice dated 04.06.2021 (Annexure P13), as representation of the petitioners and decide the same in accordance with law by passing a speaking order preferably within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. C.O.C.P. No. 1461 of 2022 If found entitled and if there is no impediment for the release of payment, the same be granted to the petitioners without any delay, as per law".

Mr. Nikhil Chopra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, enters appearance for the respondents, on the instructions from Mr.Parminder Singh, Senior Assistant, submits that a lot of record was required to be examined and he has instructions to state that the matter will be finally decided within a period of four weeks. 3.
