(Oral) This is a petition seeking a writ in the nature of habeas corpus to direct respondents No.1 to 3 to release the detenue-Anjana wife of the petitioner, from the illegal detention of respondents No. 4 and 5. Learned State counsel submits that statement of alleged detenue has been recorded. She has stated that she is living with her parent of her own free will.

In view of the above, it is evident that the alleged detenue is not in illegal detention.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner has expressed an apprehension that life of the petitioner is in danger. Learned State counsel submits that in case any representation is received from the petitioner, same shall be examined as per law. If necessary, adequate steps shall be taken.
