Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 175 dated 07.08.2015 (Annexure P-2) registered under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 201 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Kotwali, Faridkot, District Faridkot and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-1) effected in between the parties. Pursuant to orders dated 04.07.2020 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot, on 31.07.2019 to get their statements recorded. Learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot, submitted his report vide letter No. 610 dated 01.08.2019, duly RISHU KATARIA 2020.03.12 14:34 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

According to the report, learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot, is satisfied that compromise effected between the parties is genuine and valid, without any pressure or coercion. In compliance of order dated 18.02.2020, original receipts regarding deposit of costs of `20,000/- have also been produced in Court today. The same are taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the report of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Faridkot, dated 01.08.2019 and deposit of costs as well as the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, aforesaid FIR No. 175 dated 07.08.2015 (Annexure P-2) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioner only. Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
