**** AJAY KUMAR MITTAL, J. (Oral) The petitioners have approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for setting aside the notification dated 07.07.2011, issued under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (in short 'the Act'), followed by notification dated 06.07.2012, issued under Section 6 of the Act and subsequent proceedings. A request for release of land has also been made.

It was not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioners that no notice of demand has been raised by the petitioners prior to approaching this Court by way of present writ petition. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that he may be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to the petitioners to approach the concerned authority by filing a detailed and comprehensive representation raising the grievances as have been sought to be raised in the present writ petition. However, a prayer was made for issuance of a time bound direction to the respondents to decide the same.

Dismissed as withdrawn. It is, however, observed that in case such a representation is filed by the petitioners, the same shall be decided by the concerned authority expeditiously by passing a speaking order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, in accordance with law.
