(ORAL) Though this writ petition has been filed by the petitionerassociation of colleges assailing the letters dated 09.06.2022 (Annexure P-2) and 19.07.2022 (Annexure P-17), wherein procedure for admission has been prescribed by the respondent-authorities, it is observed that the petitioner has filed detailed representations dated 10.06.2022 (Annexure P-10) and 20.06.2022 (Annexure P-15) before the respondent-authorities which are pending.

Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, on instructions from the Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education, submits that the representations shall be considered and decided in accordance with law and while doing so they would also hear the representative(s) of the petitioner - association of colleges and for this purpose the petitioner may appear before the Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education on 01.08.2022 at 12.00 P.M. He also states that till such decision on the representations of the petitioner is taken after affording due opportunity of hearing and a detailed speaking order is passed thereon, the authorities would not take any coercive steps against any of the colleges. Learned senior counsel submits that the petitioner undertakes to appear before the Principal Secretary, Department of Higher Education on the fixed date and time.
