(Oral) The land of the petitioner is said to have been acquired under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 for the public purpose of its utilization for the Border Security Force. The land is situated in district Tarn-Taran at Indo-Pak border. The petitioner is dissatisfied with the amount of compensation determined by the Land Acquisition Collector and has made a representation on 05.02.2015 to various authorities including the Land Acquisition Collector-respondent No.4. It appears that the petitioner was required to submit a proper reference which could be forwarded by Land Acquisition Collector to the District Judge under the 1894 Act.

Since full facts are not on record, it is not expedient for us to form any definite opinion except to direct the Land Acquisition Collector, Tarn-Taran to verify the records and take an appropriate action including making reference MOHINDER KUMAR 2016.08.10 16:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh to the District Judge, Tarn-Taran, in accordance with law.
