Through this petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prayer has been made for issuance of writ in the nature of habeas corpus and for appointment of warrant officer with a roving writ to search for detenue namely Gurpreet Kaur wife of Jaspreet Singh, resident of Patti Gahu near Guru Gobind Singh Public School, Longowal, Tehsil Longowal, District Sangrur at the premises of respondents No.4 and 5. Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Raghvinder Singh, submits that instant petition is baseless and is liable to be dismissed in view of the fact that detenue gave statement on 04.11.2018 before Sub Inspector Kamaljit Kaur that she does not want to go with the petitioner, RAVINDER SINGH 2018.11.15 16:13 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document who is alleging himself to be her husband.
