-.- KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 17.7.2022 against the wishes of respondent Nos.4 to 6 who are related to petitioner No.1. This is their first marriage. Counsel for the petitioners submits that the aforesaid private respondents have threatened to cause harm to both the petitioners and in this regard, representation (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.2 but till date no action has been taken by the concerned authority in this regard. Notice of motion.

( 2 ) CRWP-7186-2022 (O&M) Ms. Samina Dhir, DAG, accepts notice on behalf of the State of Punjab. She submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law.
In view of above, without going into merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to consider representation (Annexure P-4) and to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners if so warranted. However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners.
In case the petitioners have committed any offence, the law will take its own course.
