It was stated that while filling up her online application form inadvertently only "Science" was mentioned instead of "Social Science" as the stream applied for selection.

Written test for the said post was to be held on 29.7.2016. Vide order dated 28.7.2016 notice of motion was issued for today. It was further directed that petitioner would be issued an Admit Card/Roll Number for undertaking the test for recruitment to the aforesaid post in Social Science. The participation of the petitioner in the test was on provisional basis subject to the decision of the present writ petition. At the time of hearing today, learned State counsel on instructions from Mr.Inderjit Singh, Deputy Director, Secondary Education, Punjab submits that petitioner has been permitted to take the written test for Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2016.08.30 17:11 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document selection in the subject of Social Science. She further, on instructions, states

CWP 15125/2016 that such inadvertent mistakes have been permitted to be subsequently corrected.

In view of the stand of the State that corrections in the application forms have been permitted to be corrected, in the facts and circumstances of the present case, it is felt that ends of justice would be fully met if it is directed that online application of the petitioner be considered for recruitment in the stream of "Social Science" instead of "Science", moreso when she already has undertaken the test for the post of Social Science Mistress albeit under the orders of this Court. The inadvertent mistake is directed to be cured accordingly. In view of the above, present petition is disposed of with the direction that petitioner's online application shall now be considered to be for recruitment to the post of Mistress in "Social Science" and her result will be declared and further action taken in accordance with law. 30.08.2016 (Jaswant Singh) joshi Judge Whether speaking/ reasoned Yes/No Whether Reportable:
