HARNARESH SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and also directing respondents No.4 to 6 not to interfere in the personal life and liberty of the petitioners. Status report by way of affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nangal, District Rupnagar, filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 with the Registry, is taken on record. Learned State counsel submits that separate statements of the petitioners and private respondents have been recorded and the private respondents have specifically stated that they are not interfering in the life of the petitioners and rather, they have disinherited petitioner No.1. There is no threat perceptions to the petitioners at the hands of the private respondents, as stated by them, and hence, the present petition has become infructuous.
Disposed of accordingly.
