On the death of an allottee, the claims of interest in the petroleum outlet survive to the legal heirs. It appears that there has been a settlement amongst members of the deceased allottee and the petitioner has been allowed to continue the business. The petitioner claims that he has already applied for reconstitution. The petroleum corporation will consider the petitioner's request for allotment in his name on the basis of relinquishment letters submitted by way of family settlement. The decision will be given within a period of 15 days and communicated to the petitioner. Till such a decision is taken, no precipitate action shall be taken by the Corporation for termination of dealership.
