(Oral) The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to count the service rendered by the petitioner in CBI from 30.01.1990 to 23.06.1999 and the service rendered by him in Oriental Insurance Corporation from 13.07.1987 to 29.01.1990, in total service of the petitioner rendered in Municipal Corporation under the Local Government of Punjab, for the purpose of pensionary benefits in view of instructions dated 20.05.1982. At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file afresh one, on the same cause of action, with better particulars.
