Hans Raj, who had been working with Punjab State Electricity Board, now Punjab State Power Corporation Limited after putting in service of almost 30 years has statedly expired on 9.6.2021. Rupa Devi is aggrieved by the fact that the matter with regard to finalization of release of retiral benefits to her deceased husband has not been finalized despite her serving legal notice dated 17.6.2021 (Annexure P-9) upon the respondents, as such she has brought the present writ petition. At the very outset, learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents, more particularly respondent No. 1 to consider the legal notice and dispose it of in accordance with law.

In view of such request, learned counsel for the petitioner in order to afford reasonable time to the respondents to consider the request of the petitioner and then to take appropriate action therein to avoid unnecessary litigation, the writ petition is disposed of directing respondents more particularly respondent No. 1 to consider the claim of petitioner in accordance with law, rules, regulation and instructions on the subject within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order by PARVINDER SINGH 2021.09.06 15:43 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
