Versus
State of Punjab & others
...Respondents
CORAM: HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE JAISHREE THAKUR
Present:
Mr. Surmukh Singh, Advocate, for the petitioner.
**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) It is contended that the petitioner is entitled to be promoted to the post of Principal under the rules. However, he is not being promoted despite the fact that similarly, situated persons have already been given promotion orders. In this regard, the petitioner has already approached the department by way of legal notice dated 10.08.2016 (Annexure P-9). At the present moment, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner limits his prayer to an early consideration and decision in the legal notice dated 10.08.2016 (Annexure P-9) served by the petitioner upon the respondents. I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and without going into the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 10.08.2016 (Annexure P9) served by the petitioner upon the respondents by passing a speaking order in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
