Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent - Department for appointing the petitioner in General Category for the post of Lecturer (Mathematics), as he secured 226 marks which comes within the zone of appointment in General Category. At the outset, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioner, submits that his grievance has been redressed, therefore, he does not want to pursue the present petition any further.

Disposed off accordingly.
