(ORAL) This writ petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for setting aside the notification dated 24.04.2015 (Annexure P-1) vide which new Gram Sabha in the name of Surjit Nagar was constituted, for quashing the notification dated 11.07.2016 (Annexure P-2) and the consequential elections dated 24.07.2016 held as per the programme of the State Election Commission, Punjab.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that he may be allowed to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the concerned authority at the first instance by filing a representation raising the grievance as raised in the writ petition. It was submitted that time-bound direction may be issued to decide the same.
