Mr. Arun Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner. **** ANUPINDER SINGH GREWAL, J (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that husband of the petitioner, who was working as a Lineman, had expired while in service. The petitioner is entitled for compassionate appointment. He further contends that the petitioner has sent a representation (Annexure P-1) in this regard but no action has been taken thereon. He also contends that she would be satisfied if this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the representation (Annexures P-1) in accordance with law.
Issue notice to respondents.
At the asking of the Court, Mr. Vikas Mohan Gupta, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of respondents.
Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.1 to consider and decide the representation (Annexures P-1) in accordance with law within a period of 03 months days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
