They are residents of village Peont, Tehsil Nissing, District Karnal. Their grievance is that though plots measuring 6 marlas each were allotted to them under the Indra Awas Yojna but at the site where the plots were carved out, a water tank has been constructed. As a result thereto, the petitioners are unable to construct their residential houses at the allotted site. They have thus, sought a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent-authorities to allot them alternative plots.

We find from the record that the above-stated claim has been raised by the petitioners through a legal notice dated 29.04.2015 (P-3).

Having heard their learned counsel and keeping in view the relief sought by the petitioners but without expressing any views on merits, we dispose of this writ petition MOHINDER KUMAR 2015.08.19 12:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.16326 of 2015 [2] with a direction to respondent Nos.2 to 4 to verify the abovestated assertions made by the petitioners and take remedial steps in terms of the Government Scheme/policy within a period of three months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
