RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for issuance of direction to respondent No.2 to conduct the population survey of seven urban villages (Wazirabad, Silhokhera, Kanhai, Sarhol, Chakkarpur, Nathupur and Sikanderpur), which form part of Municipal limits, Gurugram and in which no census has taken place since 2001. It is further prayed to issue direction to respondent No.3 to provide adequate facilities to the residents of these seven urban villages as well as equal development with other areas falling under Municipal Corporation limits in Gurugram, Haryana, upon conduct of the census, which is the basis for providing public facilities and amenities.

Counsel for the petitioner fairly submits that qua first prayer of the petitioner regarding conduct of population survey of above-mentioned seven urban villages, the present petition has become infructuous, however, MEENU 2023.09.15 14:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment

CWP-11918-2017 -2so far as second prayer is concerned, she submits that she may be allowed to withdraw this petition with liberty to approach the appropriate authority under the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Act, 2017. In view of the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the present petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner as prayed for.
