Through the instant writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction to respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and its employees for the execution of handling and transportation of the trucks hired by the petitioner, apprehending threat at the hands of the private respondents 4 to 6. In this context, the petitioner has submitted representation dated 14.3.2017 (Annexure P-1) to Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana.

Notice of motion. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Ms. Anu Pal, AAG, Punjab. Copy given. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to ensure that the grievance of the petitioner regarding threat to his property and employees would be looked into and in case there is any imminent requirement for preventing the breach of peace on account of conduct of any of the private respondents, necessary steps be taken in this regard.
