(ORAL) This petition has been filed for quashing of FIR No. 73 dated 20.8.2018 registered under Sections 452, 324, 323 and 34 IPC, Police Station Sandaur, District Sangrur (Annexure P-1) and all the consequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-2) arrived at between the parties.

Report has been received from the trial Court after statements of the parties were recorded regarding the compromise. The trial Court has reported that the compromise is genuine and voluntary. It is also reported that none of the petitioners was declared proclaimed offender. The trial Court has also sent the copy of the statements of the parties. Since the parties have arrived at a compromise and have decided to live in peace, no useful purpose would be served in allowing the GURPREET SINGH 2019.09.20 16:21 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh criminal proceedings to continue.

CRM-M No. 28240 of 2019 -2In view of the statements and report of the trial Court and the principles laid down by the Full Bench judgment of this Court in Kulwinder Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and another, 2007(3) RCR (Criminal) 1052, approved by Hon'ble Apex Court in Gian Singh Vs. State of Punjab and others (2012) 10 SCC 303, the instant petition is allowed and FIR No. 73 dated 20.8.2018 registered under Sections 452, 324, 323 and 34 IPC, Police Station Sandaur, District Sangrur (Annexure P-1) and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, qua the petitioners, are hereby quashed.
