(ORAL) Instant writ petition under Articles 226 & 227 of the Constitution of India has been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent No.3 to consider the case of the petitioner for selection to the post of Constable (General Duty) advertised vide Advt. No.08/2015 dated 19.07.2015 (Annexure P-1). Petitioner applied under BC-A category. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that qualified cut-off marks for the interview in BC-A category are 48.90. The marks of the petitioner were much more than the above stated cut-off marks.

The petitioner has submitted a representation (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.3 for redressal of his grievance, however, no decision has been taken on the same till date. Learned counsel prays that respondent No.3 may be directed to decide the representation (Annexure P-5) of the petitioner within a reasonable time.
