***** JASPAL SINGH, J Through instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents for grant of ante-dated promotion as Officiating Inspector of Police with all consequential benefits on notional basis as the similar relief/promotions as Inspector of Police has been granted to the numerous co-employees of the petitioner vide (P-7 (colly)) to P-10 respectively) and further to decide representations dated 15.01.2015 & 31.08.2016 (P-5 & P-6).

The contention of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner moved representations dated 15.01.2015 (P-5) and 31.08.2016 (P-6) but till date no action has been taken. Even some more development(s) have also taken place which are not included in the aforesaid representation(s) 3.
