1. The instant petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus wherein the petitioner alleges that his daughter has been illegally detained by respondents No.3 to 5.

2. Pursuant to issuance of notice, report by way of affidavit of Mr. Sukhwinder Singh Brar, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Rural), District Fazilka has been filed wherein it is deposed that FIR No.36 dated 12.6.2024, Police Station Sadar Abohar, District Fazilka, under Sections 363, 366 IPC was MOHAN SINGH 2024.06.20 05:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-5756-2024 (O&M) ( 2 ) registered against respondent No.5-Saurav at the instance of the petitioner and that detenue was recovered on 13.6.2024 and she was immediately produced before the Child Welfare Committee on 13.6.2024 itself and thereafter her statement under Sections 164 Cr.P.C. was also recorded on 14.6.2024 and is presently lodged at Children Home for Girls in Udbhav Awas, Abohar.

3. In view of the aforestated position it is apparent that the petitioner's daughter is not presently illegally detained and is rather lodged at Children Home for Girls in Udbhav Awas, Abohar pursuant to orders passed by the Child Welfare Committee. The instant petition, as such, is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
