Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay all the retiral benefits to the petitioner including gratuity along with interest @ 18% per annum along with all consequential benefits.
At the outset, instead of pressing the petition on merits, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied in case legal notice dated 30.07.2020 (P720) is decided by the competent authority, expeditiously.

In view of the agreed stand taken by both sides, but without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose off the present petition with a direction to respondent No.27 Chief Engineer (T&S), Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Patiala to consider and decide legal notice dated 30.07.2020, if the same is pending by passing speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of 3 months from today. Ordered accordingly.
