Prayer in the instant petition, filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondents Nos.2 and 3, to provide protection of life and liberty to the petitioners, who are allegedly threatened at the hands of the private respondents No.4 to 15.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that on 23.05.2023, the private respondents inclusion with each other had subjected the petitioners to physical assault and in this regard it is submitted that the petitioners have submitted a representation dated 20.06.2023 (Annexure P-1). Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that they would be satisfied if direction be issued to respondent No.3-Station House Officer, Police Station Hisar City, District Hisar to look into the representation. 3.
Per contra, learned State counsel appearing in pursuance to the advance copy of the petition served upon submits that no such representation claimed by the petitioners has been received by the concerned Police Station. In view of the above, without commenting anything on the merits of the claim made by the petitioners in this petition or in the representation, let the petitioners appear before the respondent No.3- Station House Officer, Police Station Hisar City, District Hisar on 03.07.2023 at 10:00 A.M. with the aforesaid representation, whereupon the concerned Station House Officer shall look into the representation and take necessary steps, if any required, in accordance with law, to ensure that life and liberty of the petitioners are not jeopardized at the hands of private respondents. 5.
Present petition stands disposed of.
