The petitioners, who claim themselves to be the members of the respondent No.3-Chandigarh Kabaddi Association, have approached this Court for issuance of directions upon the respondents to conduct fresh elections of the respondent No.3 under the control of a neutral returning officer.

The present writ petition was filed way back in 2020. It is informed to this Court that, during pendency of this writ petition, fresh elections of the respondent No.3-Association were held in 2024. Although the petitioners have challenged the elections held in 2016 and 2020, the DEVINDER YADAV 2025.07.14 12:13 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-16374-2020 tenure of those elections has already expired. Moreover, it is also informed to this Court by the respondents' counsel(s) that, the membership of the petitioners has already been cancelled and they are no more on the electoral roll.

Faced with the above situation, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the present writ petition, however, with liberty to institute a fresh writ petition not only on the same cause of action but also in respect of additional grievances, which cropped up on account of cancellation of petitioners' membership from the respondent No.3Association, and, on account of the elections held in 2024. The learned counsel for the petitioners also makes request that, the respondents No.3 to 5 be directed to supply him the following documents, thereby enabling him to take recourse to the efficacious remedy for redressal of petitioners' grievances.

(a) Copy of the order, whereby, membership of the petitioners has been cancelled;

(b) Copy of the results of the elections held from 2016 till date; (c) Copy of the affiliation certificate with Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India.

The instant writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, however, with liberty (supra). Moreover, the respondents No.3 to 5 are also directed to forthwith supply the documents (supra) to the petitioners or their counsel. (KULDEEP TIWARI) July 11, 2025 JUDGE devinder Whether speaking/reasoned :
