JUSTICE AMIT RAWAL -.- AMIT RAWAL J.(ORAL) In pursuance of the direction given by this Court in writ petition bearing No.24942 of 2016, demarcation was conducted by the Field Kanungo, Sunam. As per the report dated 28.02.2017 of the demarcator, Panches along with other persons have been found to be in illegal possession and in this regard, the petitioner, who is resident of the village, espousing the grievance of the villagers, had submitted the representation dated 03.05.2017 (Annexure P-2) to the Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur for initiating proceedings under the Punjab Public Premises Act for eviction of unauthorized occupants and as well as for disqualification, as the watchdog of the Gram Panchayat, in such circumstances, would not be able to take action in accordance with law.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied if a direction is issued to the 3rd respondent-Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur to take appropriate action on the representation dated 03.05.2017 (Annexure P-2) within a stipulated period.
