Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioners seek issuance of directions upon the respondents No.1 to 4, to ensure that they are not harassed and humiliated, at the instance of respondents No.5 to 7, under the garb of a matrimonial dispute inter se the respondent No.5 and the son of the petitioner No.1. 2.

Neither on the last date of hearing, i.e. 31.01.2024, nor today, anyone has caused representation on behalf of the petitioners. 3.

Nonetheless, what emanates from a naked eye scrutiny of the short reply dated 05.07.2022, as filed on affidavit of Major Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, NRI Wing, Jalandhar, is that, after making enquiry into the complaint filed by respondent No.6, wherein, allegations qua demand of dowry were levelled against the petitioners, the said complaint has already been closed. Now, no complaint or enquiry is pending inter se the petitioners and the private respondents concerned.
