By virtue of instant petition preferred under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has sought issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and decide representation dated 25.10.2017 (P-3) with a further direction to revise/refix and release the pension and other retiral benefits along with interest @ 12% p.a. by counting the previous service in erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board as Draftsman as per order dated 17.08.2017 (P-1) passed by Special Secretary, Department of Agricultural, Punjab.

At the very outset of the arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner feels satisfied in case direction is issued to respondents to decide representation dated 25.10.2017 (P-3), within a stipulated period.

Accordingly, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent-Chairman, Punjab State Agricultural Produce Marketing Board, Punjab, Mohali to look into the grievances unfolded by the petitioner in representation 25.10.2017 (P-3) and to decide the same, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and to release the benefits in view of order dated 17.08.2017 (P-1) passed by Special Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Punjab.

However, if petitioner still feels aggrieved by any order of the aforesaid authority, he shall be at liberty to have recourse to the other remedies available under law as well as to approach this Court.
