Learned State counsel submits that petitioner no. 2 has been offered appointment as Constable and name of petitioner no. 1 figures in the waiting list at serial no. 1. He has referred to para 8 of the reply in this regard. Same reads as under:- "8.

That in view of the submission made above, it is humbly submitted that petitioner no. 2 Malkit Singh from the waiting list has already joined the service whereas the name of the petitioner No. 1 namely Satwinder Singh is now exists at the top of the waiting list of General category, cannot be offered appointment due to non availability of vacancy. The recruitment process was legally completed as prescribed in the Rules as such petitioners have no cause of action to agitate the matter before this Hon'ble High court and his writ petition may kindly be dismissed in the interest of justice." In view of above, no further cause of action survives. Petition is disposed of.
