By way of present writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has approached this Court inter alia seeking direction to respondents No.2 and 3, to release certificate as per Bonded Labour System Abolition Act, 1976. A direction has also been sought to respondents No.2 and 3, for grant of interim relief of Rs.20,000/- to the petitioner under the Central Sector Scheme for Rehabilitation of Bonded Labourers, 2016. 2.
Pursuant to notice, written statements as well as status reports have been filed by the respondents. In status report dated 09.09.2022, submitted by the Deputy Commissioner, Tarn Taran, it has been stated on the basis of an PARDEEP NAUTIYAL 2025.07.31 18:15 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment
CWP-16756-2022 -2enquiry that the petitioner's husband had worked at the brick kiln of his own volition. He had returned to home and taken back his household articles. Reference has been made to a report submitted by the Naib Tehsildar-cumExecutive Magistrate, Harike, who had inspected the brick kiln. A separate status report dated 01.12.2023, has been submitted by the Labour-cumConcilation Officer, Tarn Taran, wherein it has been stated that the allegations levelled in the petition, have been found to be false and there is no material to come to the conclusion that the petitioner was forced to work as a bonded labourer.

In view of the above status reports and the stand taken by the private respondents, writ petition is dismissed with no order as to cost.
