The petitioners are the Panches of the Gram Panchayat Kalal Majra, Block Mahil Kalan, Tehsil Mahil Kalan, District Barnala (hereinafter referred to as the "Gram Panchayat"), who are aggrieved against the order dated 18.07.2014 by which respondent No.3 has appointed respondent No.5 as Administrator to run the affairs of the Gram Panchayat, allegedly in violation of Section 200 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. The entire case set up by the petitioners is that no opportunity of hearing was given before the impugned order was passed. However, a perusal of the impugned order would show that personal hearing was afforded vide letter No.297-304 dated 08.07.2014, whereby Sarpanch and all the Panches were asked to appear in the office of respondent No.3 on 15.07.2014 at 11.00 a.m., pursuant to which the Sarpanch and all the Panches came present and, thereafter, the impugned

Thus, the petitioners are not correct while arguing on this issue that the impugned order has been passed without hearing. In view thereof, I do not find any merit in the present petition and hence, the same is hereby dismissed.
