The petitioner, through the instant writ petition, seeks a direction to official respondents 2 and 3 to safe-guard his life and liberty from the unlawful activities, undertaken by respondents 4 to 8, who intend to disrupt the work, which has been allotted to the petitioner for Centre Amargarh vide letter dated 19.10.2015 (Annexure P-1) for a period of two years.

The petitioner has submitted a representation dated 21.3.2017 (Annexure P-3) to SSP Sangrur.

Notice of motion. On asking of the Court, notice has been accepted by Ms. Anu Pal, AAG, Punjab. Copy supplied. Without expression of any opinion on merits of the case, at this stage, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to SSP, Sangrurrespondent No.3 to consider the representation dated 21.3.2017 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner for protection of his life and liberty within a period of one month after the receipt of a certified copy of the order. A further direction is also issued that in case of imminent threat to the life and liberty of the employees of the petitioner, it will be open to the petitioner to approach SSP, Sangrur, who would ensure that during pendency of the Tapinder Singh Mann 2017.05.31 18:00 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
