G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks direction for counting the service rendered by him from 06.09.1982 to 14.05.1987 in the S.D. High School, Sultanpur Lodhi, District Kapurthala against leave vacancy for the purposes of pensionary benefits and to treat the said period as qualifying service as the petitioner worked against an aided post. Reliance for the said relief has been placed upon judgment of this Court in CWP No. 11451 of 2008, Harjit Kaur vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 21.04.2009. Counsel for the petitioners submits that for the redressal of his grievances, legal notice has been served upon the respondents on 19.11.2015 (Annexure P-9) but the same is pending consideration and he would be satisfied if a time bound decision is taken on the same. CWP No. 1600 of 2016 opinion that there is no need for the respondents to file reply. Accordingly, without commenting on the merits of the case, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no. 2 to decide the legal notice dated 19.11.2015 (Annexure P-9) within a period of 3 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of the order. In case the petitioner is found entitled for the said benefit, the financial benefits be granted within a period of 2 months thereafter.
