The petitioner was appointed as Teaching Associate on a contractual post in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar in the year 2014 and is continuing in that service. He was redesignated as Assistant Professor as is apparent from the certificate dated 22.06.2016 (Annexure P-3), as he is stated to have completed more than 10 years of his teaching experience and is eligible for re-designation as Associate Professor, but despite his having submitted representation dated 10.05.2021 (Annexure P-4) to his employer i.e. Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar, the needful has not been done. Feeling aggrieved, such petitioner has approached this Court by way of filing the instant Civil Writ Petition. CWP No.17349 of 2021 decided, in order to afford reasonable opportunity to employer of the petitioner i.e. respondent No.2, to consider his claim and then take necessary action in the matter and to avoid unnecessary litigation, it is found proper and appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition directing respondent No.2 to consider the claim of the petitioner for his redesignation as Associate Professor, as per law, rules, regulations and instructions/norms on the subject and if some action in the matter is required, needful be done within two months from the date of receipt of copy of this order by the said University and a speaking order in that regard is required to be passed, a copy of which be sent to the petitioner. Disposed of in the above terms.
