IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH CRM-M-27736-2025 Date of Decision: 20.05.2025 NAVNEET SINGLA .....PETITIONER

VERSUS

STATE OF HARYANA AND ANR ...RESPONDENTS CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE H.S.GREWAL

Present:

Mr. Vikram Singh Chauhan, Advocate for the petitioner. **** H.S. GREWAL, J. (ORAL) 1.

This petition has been filed under Section 482 of BNSS with a prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in CRA 164-2023 tilted as Navneet Singla versus Ripudaman through LRs (Annexure P-2) whereby he could not appear before the Court below and non-bailable warrants were issued against him.

2.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner could not appear before the Court below on 06.11.2024 due to his ill health. As such the Court below cancelled the bail orders of the petitioner and his bail bonds and surety bonds were ordered to be forfeited. Non-bailable warrants of arrest against the petitioner have been issued. He further contends that the petitioner may be permitted to surrender before the learned trial Court to attend the trial proceedings regularly and, therefore, requests that the impugned order may be set aside.

CRM-M-27736-2025 4.

On the asking of the Court, Ms. Ankita Ahuja, AAG, Haryana accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. 5.

I have heard the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and gone through the case file.

6.

In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to decide the petition without issuing notice to the private respondent and does not find any legitimate ground to interfere in the impugned order dated 06.11.2024 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Panchkula. However, in case the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within 07 days from today and appears at 10:00 A.M, his application for grant of regular bail shall be considered and disposed of by the Court below on the same very day.

7.

The petition stands disposed of.
