These petitions have been filed for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the impugned condition i.e. Clause No.5 of the Guideline dated 24.05.2010 (Annexure P1).

Learned State counsel submits that the petitioner, in CWP-124912017, has since been retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 30.05.2023 and the petitioner, in CWP-12293-2017, has already been promoted as Associate Professor, as such, the Guidelines dated 24.05.2010 requiring them to serve for 5 years additional service in department, are no longer and prejudicial to them. 3.

In view of the aforesaid statements, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petitions have been rendered infructuous and may be disposed of as such.
