By means of instant petition, petitioner has prayed for compounding the offence under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act instituted in the court of learned JMIC, Ferozepur Jhirka filed by the respondent wherein he was convicted vide judgment dated 21.11.2015 and the appeal filed thereagainst is pending before the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Nuh. 2.
Learned counsel appearing for the complainant has vehemently opposed the prayer made by learned counsel representing the petitioner for compounding the offences in question.

On a pointed query put to counsel for the complainant as to whether the complainant was willing to accept the scaled down compensation, which had been ordered by the trial Court, he has replied in the negative. 2.
In view of above, petition stands dismissed.
