Petitioner is father of respondent no.2. It is averred that while petitioner is 80 years old his wife Harjit Kaur is 78 years old and residing in their own house i.e.Kothi No.11,Guru Nanak Nagar,Batala. It is alleged that their son and daughter in law are adopting illegal ways and means to evict the petitioner and his wife from the said house. They moved an application on 29.9.2017 under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act,2007 in the Court of SDM Batala-respondent no.1. Their main grievance is that till date no substantial proceedings, which are otherwise summary in nature, have taken place. Accordingly, a prayer is made to direct respondent no.1 to decide the said application in a time bound manner.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and perusing the averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent no.1 to dispose of application bearing no.3973 dated 29.9.2017 titled as Harbhajan Singh Sandhu v Ranjandeep Rajinder Parshad Joshi 2018.05.02 16:20 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
