AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) The grievance of the petitioner-firm is that respondents-truck union is extending the threats to the petitioner of dire consequences if the transportation of the manufactured machineries/material is not done through their union and on various occasions, the drivers of the petitioners-firm were attacked, stopped and money was extracted from them. In this regard, a representation (Annexure P-3) was submitted to respondent No.7, i.e., The Area Manager, Food Corporation of India, District Office Moga, but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he will be satisfied if an appropriate action is taken on the representation (Annexure P-3) by respondent No.7 within a time bound manner.
Without going into the merits and demerits of the claim of the petitioner, I deem it appropriate to direct respondent No.7 to consider the representation made by the petitioner, vide Annexure P-3 within a period of Savita 2017.06.02 16:41 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document High Court Chandigarh
CWP No.12554 of 2017 {2} one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. If the claim of the petitioner is found justified, respondent No.7 shall give appropriate direction to provide security to the petitioner in accordance with law.
