*** Harsimran Singh Sethi, J. (Oral) The present petition has been filed seeking direction to respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners as the same is being curtailed by respondents No.3 to 7 illegally and arbitrarily. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are being harassed by respondents No.3 to 7 but, the police is taking no action though, the petitioners had approached the Police more than once with their grievances.

Mr. Sandeep Singh Deol, DAG, Punjab, who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition submits that the police has already taken the required action. As per the State counsel, the police has initiated the NARESH KUMAR 2020.10.07 15:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRWP No.8051 of 2020 -2proceedings against the respondents No.5 to 7 under Sections 107 and 150 of the Cr.P.C and further keeping in view the grievance raised by the petitioner, DDR No.28 dated 01.10.2020 has also been registered keeping in view the fact that injuries alleged were simple in nature and action is being taken accordingly.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were not informed of the said action but, keeping in view the statement made by learned State counsel, he does not press the present petition any further and the same may be disposed of as such.
