(ORAL) The petitioner herein seeks the relief of anticipatory bail in the criminal case pertaining to the FIR bearing No.139 dated 29.07.2020 registered at Police Station Sadar Patiala, District Patiala, under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Learned State counsel, on the instructions from SI Jaskaran Deep Singh, Police Station Sadar, Patiala, apprises the Court that in pursuance of the order dated 07.10.2020, as passed by the Co-ordinate Bench, the petitioner has joined in the investigation and his custodial interrogation is not required and he is also not involved in any other criminal case of the similar nature and the Challan has already been presented in the Court.

Keeping in view the above-discussed submission as made by SEEMA SHARMA 2021.10.26 16:01 I attest to the accuracy of this order

learned State counsel as well as the fact that the contraband, i.e 800 grams of opium, as allegedly recovered from the possession of the co-accused of the petitioner, falls within the category of "non-commercial/intermediate quantity", the instant petition is allowed and the relief of interim bail, as extended to the petitioner by the Co-ordinate Bench vide the said order dated 07.10.2020, is hereby made absolute.

However, the petitioner shall strictly abide by all the conditions as laid down in Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.
